ECSO starts collaboration with the Town and Commune of Radków
The Eduard Petzold European Centre for Garden Art has started collaboration with the Town and Commune of Radków (Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship). Our aim is to actively promote the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
The Land of Radków, where the ECSO is located, can be proud of one of the most characteristic mountain peaks in Poland – Szczeliniec Wielki in the Table Mountains National Park. However, the cultural landscape of this region is much more than this mountain massifs. The life-giving Ścinawka River and its tributaries have influenced the development of local settlements for centuries. Magnificent residences erected here, with Sarny Castle at the forefront, became local centers of culture, including garden art. The Eduard Petzold European Centre for Garden Art and the Town and Commune of Radków decided to deepen collaboration in the field of protection, conservation and promotion of the local cultural landscape. Currently, the priority for both parties is to identify areas and objects of cultural and natural value and requiring urgent protection. The letter of intent was signed at the Sarny Castle by Łukasz Przybylak, Co-founder of ECSO, and Jan Bednarczyk, Mayor of the Town and Commune of Radków.
